Sasso del Ferro, breathtaking view
From the centre of Laveno Mobello, pretty little town on the shores of Lake Maggiore, soars the Sasso del Ferro, accesible with a cablecar and from the top of which the view is really unique. In 15 minutes you climb almost to the top of Sasso del Ferro, from which you can admire a spectacular view of Lake Maggiore, the Alps, the pe-Alps, the lakes of Lombardy and the Po Valley.
Sasso del Ferro is a mountain 1062 meters above sea level overlooking Lake Maggiore at Laveno.
Popular with hang-gliding and paragliding enthusiasts, it can be reached by a comfortable and fast cable car (bidonvia) from the centre of Laveno or also by car via Cittiglio.
