Fiorenza's Day 2026: Flying under the Sign of Fiorenza de Bernardi
A “Widespread Flight” that unites 8 locations in 5 Italian regions to celebrate the legacy of the first female airline pilot and inspire new generations to fly without borders.
On May 23rd, Italian skies will celebrate the birth of Fiorenza de Bernardi, the first female airline pilot in Italy, with the official establishment of Fiorenza Day. The initiative, promoted by the Women of the Air Association (ADA), aims to inspire new generations, transforming the dream of flight into a concrete professional perspective of excellence.
VARESE STARS WITH THE ADELE ORSI AERO CLUB
The province of Varese, historically linked to the flight industry and culture, will be one of the beating hearts of this national day. Among the 8 selected operational offices throughout Italy, the Adele Orsi Aero Club (ACAO) in Varese stands out.
Under the guidance of tutor and president Margherita Acquaderni, the ACAO will welcome aspiring pilots to demonstrate how determination can break down every barrier. The Varese event is part of a "Widespread Flight" that unites five regions, offering the opportunity to experience the thrill of takeoff and discover the world of aeronautics up close.
AN EVENT BETWEEN PASSION AND PROFESSIONALISM
Fiorenza Day is not just a celebration, but an invitation to cross the horizon. The initiative enjoys prestigious patronage such as the Aero Club d'Italia (AeCI), AOPA Italia and the Association of Pioneers of Italy. Through the "Baptism of Flight," the goal is to transform curiosity into a passion that can lead young women to pursue high-profile careers in the industry.
